Hola Amigos y Familia!!1!1!!uno!1!!

Bonjour, tis Aiden

Today was another crazy day, (it was taco Tuesday) we finished up some of the stage one construction stuff. (Plastering the ceiling.) We had another successful VBS with the kids. This time I actually understood them when they were asking to go to the bathroom. (When they frantically say baño it means bathroom.) It was also really cool to see some of the kids already hugging and sitting with us. It’s only the second day! We have to remember the names of 7 kids in Spanish. (7-8 kids per one of us, and there’s about 90 kids) and most of us only understand basic words, It turns out to be quite the challenge. After that we went to a local food truck for dinner and had the best tacos you can have. They were super nice and gave us a complimentary “De la Rosa” which was a crumbly candy thing that tasted like peanuts and icing sugar. (I bought 8 of them to bring home, but they might not all make it home) aaand after that we went to the grocery store to buy beans and rice and stuff for food packages. We will be giving them to people tomorrow) Brandon and I tried to get a photo with the guard with a shotgun, but sadly failed. (He said no) we also bought a suspected snotfruit but it turns out it was actually a guayaba, and then we walked back to the compound and stuff and I’m sitting here typing this eating jelly beans.

(I know its Wednesday but its still Taco Tuesday)

ok bye and things

  1. Aiden….Zach says to tell you it’s a matter of HOW you ask the armed guard if you can take a photo with him. He and Dean got a couple of them together. Sounds like you’re having an awesome time.

  2. Aiden-guy! Sounds like a full day! Glad to hear the plastering is going well, and VBS. The real test will be if you all swap groups – and still know each child’s name! Fresh tacos sound great – not so sure about the snotfruit. 🙂
